Zachary Borges Obituary | Zackary John Borges passed away at Emily’s House Hospice on 16 May 2021, accompanied by his family, and we are sad to report his passing.
For more than a year, Zachary fought valiantly against cancer. He was a huge fan of the Toronto Raptors, Lebron James, and basketball in general.
Annamaria, his mother, witnessed his anguish and struggle. She cradled him in her arms and carried him to the hereafter. Calista and Roger are the only surviving members of Zachary’s family. Family and friends will miss him.

Zachary announced his cancer diagnosis in 2020, somewhere in the months of February or March. Because of the tumour that had formed on the lower half of his leg, he was forced to retire early. Since then, he’s been fighting cancer on an uphill battleground.
In spite of all of Zachary’s efforts to fight his cancer, it wasn’t enough. The cancer had progressed too far and was deadly, so he couldn’t continue. It was Zachary’s final act of kindness to leave us with the most priceless of gifts: cherished mementos of joy and laughter.
We need your aid now more than ever, and we’re appealing to everyone who can. In order to alleviate the stress on the grieving family and give them space to process what has happened, We are urging our neighbours to contribute financially in order to help them.
